What if I don't have enough seeds?

You can bid up to 500 seeds regardless of your current balance — the balance check happens when the auction closes, not when you bid.

If your balance is short at close, your bid is treated as if you never placed it, and you pay nothing.

A practical caveat: if you bid your max on several auctions that close at the same time, winning one may disqualify your bids on the others (your balance drops). The auctions resolve in arbitrary order among same-time closes, so don't count on winning multiple high-value items at once.

Bid what the item is worth to you. Vickrey rewards honesty — you'll never overpay just for bidding high.
