What are seeds, and how do I get them?

Seeds are the virtual currency you bid with on Give and Live. They cannot be exchanged for real money.

Every verified user gets 50 seeds every Sunday, automatically, up to a balance cap of 500. You don't need to ask or do anything — they just show up on your account.

You use them to bid on free offerings. When you win, the seeds you spend go into your community garden — a shared visual of all the giving that's happening around you. The more your community gives, the prettier the garden grows.
